Alicia Gelinas, CPA, President and Chief Executive Officer

Alicia first joined the COCPA as a student member while attending the University of Denver. After years of volunteering at the Society, she stepped into the role of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of the COCPA Educational Foundation for five years. Alicia now serves as the Society’s third President and CEO, where she daily demonstrates her passion for the accounting profession and leads the organization as it carries out the COCPA mission to help people thrive personally and professionally through service and connection.

Alicia’s professional background includes stints in public accounting, adjunct teaching, consulting, and coaching. This Midwest native enjoys spending time camping, boating, and traveling with her husband and their dog, Ally.

Kelli Davis, Executive Assistant

Josh An, CPA, MAcc, Chief Financial Officer

A Denver native, Josh began his career in public accounting, where he oversaw compliance practices of large, multinational entities in a variety of industries, including real estate, retail, and SaaS. After leaving public accounting, Josh led and managed accounting teams in the commercial real estate industry, where he was responsible for overseeing full-cycle accounting processes, tax compliance, financial reporting, and process implementation. Josh is a CPA who graduated from the University of Colorado with his Bachelor’s in Finance and Master’s in Accounting. When not working, Josh enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and kids.

Julie Pike, Accounting and HR Specialist

Julie has been supporting the COCPA finance team with special projects for the past 3 years and became a full-time member in October 2020. In her position as Accounting and HR Specialist, she handles payroll, expenses, and benefits administration. She also helps to coordinate the Educational Foundation’s activities. Outside of the office, you can find Julie volunteering, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and her very spoiled fur baby, Esmee. The most memorable vacation she ever took was to the Arctic Circle to see the Aurora Borealis. “It was truly amazing!”

Kelly Fitzgerald, CMA, General Ledger Accountant

Kelly began her public accounting career nearly 20 years ago before pausing to become a stay-at-home mom. Having re-entered the workforce a few years ago, she has found her home at the COCPA, where she can pursue her passion for serving others while continually learning and growing professionally. Kelly manages the COCPA revenue cycle and financial reporting, and assists with the Educational Foundation of the COCPA. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and kids.

Rebecca Campbell, CAE, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Learning Officer

Looking for someone equally comfortable with big-picture strategy and day-to-day tactics? That’s Certified Association Executive Rebecca Campbell. She oversees COCPA’s daily operations and implementation of our strategic plan. Often tapped by other organizations for her thought leadership, she speaks nationally and currently serves as the Chair of ASAE’s Professional Development Professionals Advisory Council. The best vacation she ever took was a road trip to Miami with her daughters. Her five dream Jeopardy categories would be Top Vacation Spots; Books You Have to Read; Top Movies to See; Benefits of Taking a Nap; and Nachos, Nachos, and More Nachos.

Tiffany Carson, CPE Operations Manager

Tiffany is a rockstar when it comes to our CPE-related events and information. As CPE Operations Manager, she handles logistics and operations for COCPA conferences, seminars, and on-site programs. Her attention to detail and dedication to our members are always top of mind. On weekends, Tiffany can be found skiing, spending time with her husband, friends, and family. During the season in Tiffany’s household, Sundays are reserved solely for the Denver Broncos.

Sheila Duggan, Member Services Representative and Peer Review Coordinator

Sheila joined the COCPA in 2019 to “help with special projects.” A year later, her experience in operations support and customer service have been instrumental. Whether it is ensuring CPE courses are available for our members, helping out in Peer Review, or countless special projects, Sheila has excelled and has quickly become an essential member of the team. Sheila’s time off often consists of her favorite activities, cooking, and BBQs with family and friends.

Pamela Galey-Coleman, Member Services Representative

Pamela registers and assists members with CPE course registrations, membership renewals, and continuing education inquiries. She helps the public find answers to their licensing questions, and acts as liaison to the Public Company forum. Outside of work, Pamela enjoys nature, hosting gatherings with close friends and family, and researching/learning about pretty much anything. In her free time, she is a volunteer for various community service projects.

As Engagement and Programs Specialist, Stacy aims to improve and expand the journey of our members by creating member connection opportunities. At any given time, she can be found working closely as liaison to our dynamic committees, regional chapters, special interest groups, volunteers, new CPAs, students, accounting educators, COCPA Connect, and the Educational Foundation.

In her free time, Stacy enjoys spending time with family, doing everything from snowboarding to working in the backyard. And while she loves Colorado, she really relishes the times when she’s able to travel home to O’ahu to boogie board and visit family and friends.

As the COCPA Student, Faculty, and Young Professionals Engagement Representative, Abbey focuses on encouraging and creating member engagement opportunities for students, faculty, and young professionals while also supporting the Educational Foundation. Her efficiency and positivity attract members who are equally passionate and enthusiastic!

Outside of work, Abbey enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, hunting down treasures at local thrift shops, camping, golfing, and watching her favorite teams: the Packers, Badgers, and Avalanche.

Derrol Moorhead, Director of Member and Business Development

World class: that’s the type of experience Derrol works to bring every member of COCPA. Derrol collaborates with members and staff to develop and implement programs, activities, and resources that support members and further COCPA’s mission. A second-generation Coloradan, you can usually find Derrol playing golf, spending time with his family, and cooking up new dishes whenever he can. The best vacation he ever took was a four-week jaunt through Italy – complete with plenty of wine and a Mediterranean cruise.

Cheryl Moss, Member and Business Development Coordinator

In her newly created role as Member and Business Development Coordinator, Cheryl provides administrative support to Director of Member and Business Development Derrol Moorhead, including working with COCPA Preferred Partners and assisting with member benefit programs. Cheryl is excited to join the COCPA and has previously worked as an operating room nurse and middle school office administrator. She loves spending her free time with family, friends, and her fur babies. Having been born and raised in Southern California, Cheryl’s favorite vacations are those surrounded by lakes or the beach … anything near the water!

Marilee Pierotti Lau, Consulting CPA on Staff

Marilee provides the professional credibility and experience required to manage the COCPA’s Peer Review Program. She oversees the COCPA’s peer review committee, technical reviewers, and the review acceptance process. And, she works with Jill Turner who is responsible for the day to day administration of the Program.

Nationally recognized for her expertise in employee benefit plans, Marilee formerly was an audit partner with KPMG, auditing wineries, hotels, and clothing manufacturers. Her most memorable vacation was chartering a sailboat in the Caribbean Islands for two weeks – no internet, no phone, no computer – just sunshine, warm water, and fun. Marilee resides outside of San Francisco. In her free time, she serves on the board of her Neighbor Response Team to assist others in emergencies and volunteers to help older adults so they can continue to live in their own homes.

Jill Turner, Peer Review Coordinator

Ask her what she loves, besides her family, and Jill is quick to answer enthusiastically, “My job!” As COCPA’s Peer Review Coordinator, she works with CPAs, firms, and reviewers to comply with the Colorado State Board of Accountancy’s mandatory peer review requirements, fulfilled through the AICPA Peer Review Program. A veteran staff member, Jill also provides backup support for her Member Service colleagues and is our office-wide burst of sunshine, even on cloudy days. Her biography would be titled, The Bio-Epic of Jill Turner. Her best vacation ever: that trip to Hawaii where she went snorkeling. “It was amazing!”
