Conference and CPE Volunteer Opportunities

Conference Planning Committee Volunteer

COCPA conferences are designed with you in mind – and you help us create them. Volunteering for a conference planning committee gives you the opportunity to help us craft the conference experience that’s best for you. You’ll have a direct impact on the agenda, content, and speakers that make our events the best in the state. And as thanks for your input, you’ll be entitled to a discounted registration rate. Don’t just attend the conference – be part of its foundation.

CPE Board

The CPE Board oversees, coordinates, and monitors the COCPA continuing professional education (CPE) program, ensuring all offerings meet the highest standards and deliver value to participants and the profession overall.. The Board meets five times per year to:

  • Develop a long-range strategic plan for the CPE program
  • Initiate, review, revise, and approve policies necessary to accomplish objectives of the CPE program
  • Approve course fees and recommend changes to the Board of Directors
  • Manage the fiscal accountability of the CPE program in coordination with the CPE staff

The Board’s work ensures that CPAs across Colorado and New Mexico are performing work that the public can trust.
